Lunch & Snack at School

All children in grades K-5 eat lunch at school every day, except Wednesdays. Students have the option of bringing a nut-free lunch from home or receiving lunch at school.

● All students across the state of Massachusetts can participate in the school lunch program free of charge.

FIRST meals are free for all students. However, SECOND meals must be paid for through the MySchoolBucks account. Please create or check your family MySchoolBucks lunch account at www.myschoolbucks.com to ensure there are funds available if your child purchases a second meal.

Lunch & Snacks

Lunch Rules

  • Children sit in the cafetorium with their classmates. During mealtime, children should remain in their seats. When finished, children clean up their area, dispose of wrappers and recycle or compost appropriate items.

  • Children are expected to be polite and well-mannered. We expect students to use an indoor voice, to help one another, and to only eat their own food. Children must always obtain permission from the lunchroom monitor to leave the cafetorium.

  • After eating is complete, children head outside to recess.

  • Angier supports a full recycling and composting program at lunch.

  • Healthy food is encouraged – no gum, candy, or soda.

  • Angier is a peanut and tree-nut free school – no nuts allowed at any time.

    Snacks

We encourage students to bring in a substantial healthy snack to sustain them until lunch or until school dismissal. Sodas and candy are not allowed. Make sure the snack contains no nuts.
